What About Bob?

Bob was saved at the age of 21 while attending Oregon Institute of Technology. Shortly after graduating from OIT, with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, he felt God’s hand leading him into full-time Christian service. With a desire to serve the Lord as a missionary, he applied to Prairie Bible Institute in Alberta, Canada. He was accepted there and spent four years of intensive Bible training at PBI. During those years, God confirmed His call upon Bob’s life. He graduated from Prairie in 1978 and later applied with New Tribes Mission. After spending two more years of specialized training in pioneer missionary work, Bob was asked to join the teaching staff of New Tribes Language Institute located in Camdenton, Missouri. In 1985 he took over the Phonetics Department and taught other courses related to culture-language aquisition. For 33 years Bob helped train missionary candidates who work among the least reached people groups around the world. In 2017 Bob retired to Florida where he currently writes about theological matters and helps retired missionaries with computers issues.
